CAC Critical Incident and Crisis Management Policy
Canadian Aviation College is committed to the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and visitors. We have established a policy and procedure for managing critical incidents and crisis situations in a timely, coordinated, and culturally responsive manner.
What is a Critical Incident?
Any traumatic, serious, or threatening event that impacts the safety of individuals at CAC, including:

Medical emergencies

fires
-
natural disasters
-
criminal activity
-
overdose crises
-
missing persons reports

Emergency Instructions:

In emergencies, call 911 immediately.

In overdose Incident Naloxone kits are available at Dispatch and Operations.

Students should report threats to any staff and keep their contact and Emergency Contact information in EMS up to date
Post-Incident Support:

Access to counselling, academic accommodation, and help reconnect with family abroad.
Emergency procedures to be used in the event of fire:

Leave the fire area immediately.
-
Activate the fire alarm and alert others.
-
Go to the Fords Road Parking Lot, by CAC pedestrian Gate.

Do not re-enter the building until the fire department has cleared the building.

Notify management.
Evacuation route:
