Introduction to CAC Policy Guide

1.1 Welcome Message & CAC Commitment

Canadian Aviation College (CAC) welcomes students from across Canada and around the world. Our mission is to provide a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment where students can develop into aviation professionals who demonstrate integrity, responsibility, and respect.

 

1.2 Purpose of the Polic y Guide

The purpose of this Policy Guide is to provide all students, instructors, and staff with a clear reference to the academic, conduct, safety, and administrative policies that govern participation at CAC. By consolidating these policies into one document, CAC ensures transparency, consistency, and accessibility for its community.

 

1.3 Regulatory Compliance (PTIRU, EQA, IRCC, Transport Canada)

All policies within this guide are designed to meet or exceed the requirements of:

  • Private Training CACs Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) under the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.

  • Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation requirements.

  • Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) study permit compliance, including attendance and instructional hours.

  • Transport Canada standards and aviation regulations applicable to flight training CACs.

 

1.4 How to Use This Guide

  • This Guide serves as the official reference for CAC policies.

  • Each section is organized by theme (Rights, Academic, Conduct, Safety, Technology, Finance).

  • Quick reference forms and appendices are included at the back for easy use.

  • Students and staff should familiarize themselves with all sections and may be required to sign the Policy Acknowledgment Form confirming understanding and agreement.
